Around Dhaulagiri trekking, an adventure to world seventh highest mountains and around its massive range of peaks, where walk follows Mygdi River upstream right up to its glacial source at Dhaulagiri base camp at above (4,750m) high enclosed within an array of mountains.
Around Dhaulagiri located Nepal Far North West, one of the remote areas of Himalaya which stretches towards Lower Dolpo and Mustang with Mygdi areas, an interesting and exciting walk that leads you to rural farm villages of Magar people, one of Nepal largest wide-spread hill tribes.
On this adventure where walks lead you from low warmer temperatures to cooler hills covered with dense tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks and pine trees which soon gives away for barren and icy landscapes with moraines and rocks at Dhaulagiri base camp, situated beneath the world highest Mt. Dhaulagiri that rises above (8,167m and 26,795) first conquest by Swiss Expeditions on May 13th, 1960 with support of Nepalese guides Nyima and Nawang Dorji Sherpa.
Beginning Around Dhaulagiri Trekking from scenic Pokhara city, where a drive leads further west to the starting point of the trek at small farm village at Darbang past Beni town, as walk leads past few farm areas and villages and then entering into the complete wilderness of mountains-green hills and glaciers.
Slowly walk leads you at Dhaulagiri base camp after following Mygdi River at its glacial source, then crossing highest pass of the adventure over French pass at (5,360m) high to reach scenic Hidden Valley surrounded by high peaks of Dhaulagiri range.
After a pleasant and exciting time at Hidden Valley walking over Dhampus / Thapa pass to reach back into green woodland with downhill to Marpha, one of the most attractive villages situated within Mustang at Kaligandaki river valley.
From here short drive leads to Jomsom town and its small airstrip where scenic flights take you to beautiful Pokhara by its serene Phewa Lake to conclude this magnificent journey and adventure Around Dhaulagiri Trekking.

Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. It’s a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. And as your plane hits the tarmac, our waiting support team will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Welcome drinks will be served and after time in getting refreshed, that evening you will be invited to a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu. You will also receive a trip briefing before retiring for the night at the hotel.

Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath’ and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, there will be a pre-trip discussion as well as provides opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding our upcoming adventure.

Today, we will transfer to airport for morning air journey to Pokhara takes 20 minutes fly and upon arrival guide will receive you and drive to Beni takes 3/4 hours total journey

Today, we will start our adventure towards Babi Chaur. After walking for about 5/6 hours through steep upward trail and bank of the Myagdi River, we will reach at Babi Chaur a small village where one can find the mixed inhabitants. We’ll spend the night at Babi Chaur at our own camp.

Today we walk for about 2/3 hours through steep upward trail to reach Darbang where we take the lunch and later after crossing the Myagdi River we walk again for 3/4 hours more to reach Dharapani, where we spend the night. One can witness the Dhaulagiri one, two, and three from here.

After the breakfast we walk for about 5/6 hours, through steep upward and downward trails and crossing various small villages, reach to Muri, where we spend the night. Muri is a nice village from where one can see the beautiful view of mountains.

We start continues our walk-through flat land and steep up and down hill and the forested path for about 5/6 hours and lastly, we reach to a village called Bagar where we will stay tonight at our camp and this village is the last village on this trail before cross.

This morning we’ll start our trek further to Dobang descend through the scenic landscapes and forested path but cannot get any peaks view this day but during the walk on the trail we can have the view of beautiful landscape and after walking for about 5/6 hours through the forest to Jyardan and after here climb high winding path and rocky area, we descends and climb to Lapche Kharka then further climb we will reach at Dobang.

Today we’ll walk through the dense forest and the river banks for about 6/7 hours and we reach to Italian Base Camp where we spend the night. Once, when during an adverse weather, a group of Italian people, who were heading towards the base camp has to camp at this place and they were the first trekkers who pitched the camp at that place and since then, it is being known as Italian base camp.

Today, we will have full day at rest and relax at the camp. You may have chances to explore the surrounding areas and enjoy the view.

We trek through the snowy and long trail to get to Dhaulagiri base camp. This is most difficulty path but breath taking view and climbing up to the camp. It takes 6/7 hours journeys and can be feel short breath to reach at base camp. We can sighted Tukche Peak (6,837m). becomes visible straight on, at the far end while the impressive north flank of Dhaulagiri I (8,167m). dominates the skyline to your right. After a short while you will reach Dhaulagiri Base Camp (3,660m), which is also the site of your camp for the night. To the west are the peaks of Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri III (7,715m) and Dhaulagiri V (7,618m).

Today we will walk on the snowy trail takes 5/6 hours to get to French Col from here we can see the Mt. Dhaulagiri including the massif ranges of Annapurna as well. You can enjoy the scenic view of Dhaulagiri and down to camp site (5,050m).

We will start our hard day to cross the pass through the snowy trails walk on your own pace and slowly get to the top. After the summit trek down to the Yak Kharka and it takes on total 6/7 hours walking time and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountain and landscape.

Continue on to the village of Marpha, on the west bank of the Kali Gandaki River. Marpha is home to many apple orchards as well as all various food products made from the fruit. Don’t forget to taste the local Apple Brandy a specialty from the region that you may be lucky enough to taste en route. Continue north, up the river valley to the town of Jomsom.

Today we have one of the most stunning mountain flights in the world! We bid farewell to the crew and to the high arid landscape of the mountains and fly down the deepest gorge in the world to the lush greenery of Pokhara. All the colours will dazzle you as we get out of the plane, as will the change in temperature and humidity! The rest of the day is free to relax or to explore this charming lakeside town.

Morning we will drive back through the scenic countryside and en route will stop for breakfast and lunch. It takes 7 hours back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu guide will transfer to the hotel and rest of the day relax or explore the surrounding areas.

Today is your last day in Kathmandu and is an opportunity to do all the bits and pieces you thought of doing over the past few weeks including any last-minute shopping, returning to places that you enjoyed or didn’t get a chance to visit before your trek.
