Patan or Lalitpur city, a tour of few hours with a short drive to the second largest city of Nepal which is within Kathmandu valley close to the southern end of Kathmandu city separated by a bridge over Bagmati River, at one time a separate independent kingdom during the regime of Malla period from 6th to 7th Centaury till 17th C before it was united into a bigger Nepal.
