On this beautiful short adventure of week duration takes you to scenic areas of Everest region at Thyangboche and its impressive monastery surrounded within enchanting green woodland facing panorama of high mountains with Mt. Everest.
Everest Panorama Trekking an ideal walks for age-groups from family-school / collage groups to executive personal, as this trek refreshes you with pure mountain air within pristine surrounding of world’s highest mountains.
Starting Everest Panorama Trekking, with short panoramic flight to reach at Lukla, where walk begins heading into Dudh Kosi River valley and gorge along with grand views of high snow capped peaks.
As walk progress entering lovely villages of Phakding-Monjo and within Sagarmatha National Park, and then leaving the river behind climb leads into cool shade of forest with views of Everest and array of peaks to reach at famous Namche Bazaar.
Namche Bazaar at the height of 3,440 m here with rest day to support acclimatization with short walks, this nice large village where Saturday market takes place once a week, here you can find many facilities of banks, post-office-cyber café with many well stocked shops and stores.
After Namche Bazaar heading towards quiet and isolated villages of Khunde and Khumjung located on a glacial valley, visit leads to Khunde Hospital built by late Hillary and his foundation and then at Khumjung village with tour of its old monastery the only place treasures a scalp believed to be of Yeti.
Finally our wonderful walk leads to join the main trail overlooking views of snowcapped peaks with majestic Amadablam and range of peaks, as our route leads to a climb into serene cool forest to reach our main destination at scenic Thyangboche and its colorful and interesting monastery.
A lovely spot surrounded by series of peaks with close views of Amadablam with Mt. Everest with time to explore its impressive Buddhist monastery, where once a year a great religious festival called Mani-Rimdu held.
With magnificent moment enjoying sweeping panorama of Khumbu Himal with towering Mt. Everest, where walk leads to long descend on the same scenic route to Lukla for super short flight back to Kathmandu, after a marvelous and great wonderful time in Everest Panorama Trekking.
We will welcome you at the international airport and guide you through the initial culture shock of Kathmandu’s narrow, winding streets to get you settled into your hotel.
In the afternoon (depending on your arrival time) we can take you on a bazaar walk exploring the secret alleys and courtyards of old Kathmandu that most visitors don’t get to experience.
We begin by walking into the old city and exploring the small alleyways, myriad of hidden temples belonging to both Hinduism and Buddhism (in some cases, both!) and make our way through local bazaars of fruit, vegetables, spices and stunning wares made of brass, bronze and copper. Not only exotic produce, but a fascinating mix of people are everywhere; along with the brightly clad locals of the Kathmandu Valley, you’re likely to see ‘Gurkhas’, Sherpa women in their striped aprons, traders from India, and sadhus – Hindu holy men – perhaps on pilgrimage to one of the many temples and shrines of the valley. After the breakfast, your guided tour will start where you will be taken to most of the historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu. You will visit UNESCO World Heritage sites like Durbar Square, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath), the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath’ and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where you can ask any questions regarding your upcoming adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu.
All treks to Everest begin from Luka where you will be flying to, early in the morning. The flight will be an interesting one since you will be flying amidst the grand Himalayas. The short trek to Phakding begins immediately after you land at Lukla Airport. You will be at a Cheplung village from where you can have a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila. From Cheplung, you’ll continue descending to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.
The trek begins on uphill and downhill trails with multiple crossings over Dudh Koshi River and a magnificent view of Mt. Thamserku from the Benkar village. You’ll cross more bridges and reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, where the trekking permits are checked. You’ll have to walk furthermore and pass through Jorsale village before reaching Namche Bazaar. From there, you’ll get beautiful views of the Himalayas including Everest, Lhotse, Tawache and others. Overnight in Namche.
This is the first of the three scheduled rest days which will help you acclimatize to the high altitude. You are going to spend the day enjoying small hikes in and around Namche Bazaar. You’ll hike up to Everest View Hotel to enjoy admirable views of the Himalayan peaks. On the way back to Namche you’ll also tour the Khumjung Monastery and Hillary School. Your trek will start with a climb up to the famous airstrip at Syangboche. You’ll continue trekking to Khumjung village via Khunde village and visit Khunde hospital. You can enjoy the view of Kondge, Thamserku and the sacred Khumbila mountains. Here you can visit the Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery. Overnight in Khumjung.
You’ll have to descend to Dudhkoshi river and pass through beautiful villages on the way. You’ll walk on a forest trail which will take you to a riverbed. Next, you have to ascend for around two more hours through pine and fir forests to reach a small village of Tengboche. You can tour the Tengboche Gumba and enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Everest on the way. Overnight in Tengboche.
On the following day, you will pass through the scenic and peaceful valley endowed with rich biodiversity and culture. You’ll come across Sherpa settlements. You’ll see Kongde, Everest, Makalu, Pharchamo, Cho Oyu, Thamserku, Kangtega and Kusum Kang on the way. After arriving Monjo, you’ll have a night stay there. Overnight in Monjo village.
You have to descend steeply to Chauri Kharka. On the way you’ll pass Phakding and Cheplung villages. You’ll have a night stay at Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.
You’ll have a flight to Kathmandu in the morning. After reaching the capital city, you have the rest of the day off. You can take a rest in the hotel room or shop for souvenirs for your loved ones. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Reserve and spare day with optional sightseeing tour
Today is your last day in Kathmandu and is an opportunity to do all the bits and pieces you thought of doing over the past few weeks including any last-minute shopping, returning to places that you enjoyed or didn’t get a chance to visit before your trek. After a great breakfast at your hotel, you are free until it is time for us to transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home. We bid farewell for now and until next time!
