Langtang Himal Trekking, a marvelous country walks that leads you to beautiful Langtang valley at Kyanjin high above (3,749m), the highest spot of the journey facing fabulous views of high Langtang Himal range of peaks.
On this wonderful Langtang Himal Trekking, where you will be rewarded with a panorama from Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal (7,405m), Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6,571m), Kimshun (6,745m), and Shalbachum (6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo, Tilman’s beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and ending towards the eastern horizon at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m).
Starting from Kathmandu with exciting drive heading north-west of Kathmandu valley to reach at cooler alpine zone at Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal, where walk leads you to farm villages of great interest with ever-present views of scenic landscapes and mountains.
Walking higher following a river gorge covered by tall rhododendron (national flower of Nepal), magnolia, firs, and pine trees with bamboo thickets which makes excellent habitations for some wild-life and the rare, endangered Red Panda often spotted during walks.
Finally walk leads to a wide-open valley at Kyanjin with super views of high snow-capped peaks, with time here for a hike on higher view-point hills to capture the best of Langtang Himal and other peaks located across the border in Tibet.
With enjoyable and pleasant scenic time at Kyanjin within the wide green valley of Langtang heading back to road-head on the same route for the interesting overland journey back into hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu after a most mesmerizing time and experience on Langtang Himal Trekking.

Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. It’s a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. And as your plane hits the tarmac, our waiting support team will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Welcome drinks will be served and after time in getting refreshed, that evening you will be invited to a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu. You will also receive a trip briefing before retiring for the night at the hotel.

Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath’ and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, you will be introduced to your trip guide and there will be a pre-trip discussion as well as provides opportunity to ask any last-minute questions you may have regarding your trip.

We leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a village which is also the starting point for treks into the Langtang valley. Our journey will be on a winding road through frequent switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. Our trip for today ends with a descent into the small village of Syabrubesi.

After breakfast, we begin our trek to Syabrubesi along the Langtang Khola. We ascend and descend simultaneously through oak and rhododendron forests. After crossing a bridge over the Langtang Khola (small river), we ascend on a steep trail which will lead us to the Lama Hotel.

We continue ascending from Lama Hotel and enjoy the mountain landscape with abundant waterfalls. As we reach the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela, we begin to see the white peaks of the Langtang range. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing a few temporary settlements used by herders. We pass a Buddhist monastery before reaching the Langtang village which was affected by the April 2015 earthquake.

After breakfast, we will start our journey to Kyangjin Gompa, a principal monastery of the region. We pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We also pass by the largest mani wall in Langtang region, made from stone with prayers written on them. After the short trek, we spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Buddhist shrine in Kyangjin Gompa and surrounding areas with the amazing views of the mountains.

You will spend the whole day exploring Tserko Ri which will also help you to acclimatize the high altitude. Early morning trek leads you to Tserko Ri from where the sunrise view is seen extraordinary. You will get back to Kyangjin Gompa by late afternoon exploring the beautiful monastery and enjoying views of the Himalayas, glaciers, birds, and yaks.

We begin our trek after breakfast and retrace our steps to Lama Hotel. Most of the trekking today will be downhill as we pass through forests and beautiful Tamang villages. We also get to enjoy different view of the Himalayas that we had missed climbing up.

We basically retrace our steps back to Syabrubesi. The trek will be easier as it will mostly involve descendin.

Today, after breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu with the splendid views of hills, mountains, terraces and villages. Remaining time you rest and evening explore Thamel.

This will be a spare day in Kathmandu after the tiring trekking program. We can stroll around the streets in Thamel, a popular Tourist hub in Kathmandu for some souvenir shopping. You may also visit popular tourist attractions nearby. Either way, there will be celebration of an amazing trip, you will be our guests tonight as we host a farewell dinner at an excellent Nepalese restaurant in town.

After a great breakfast at your hotel, you are free until it is time for us to transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home. We bid farewell for now and until next time!
