Yala Peak Climb a lesser mountain at above (5,732m/18,806ft) high located within Nepal Central Himalaya around Langtang Himal enclosed with an array of peaks on both sides of beautiful Langtang valley.
Yala Peak Climb, is a fascinating adventure, truly an amazing experience within a less than a two-week time frame where all types of interested travelers from beginners to expert mountaineers can join in this wonderful feat.
Yala Peak although a lesser mountain is hidden between massive Langtang Ri and Langtang Lirung high mountains above (7,000m), where climb leads to scenic views of the least technical challenge to reach its summit top.
For Yala Peak Climb, climbers should be well equipped as the mountain is filled with much ice and snow all the way to its top, where our expert guides will fully assist you for a safe and memorable climb.
The walk leads from Syabrubesi around Tamang villages of interesting Buddhist culture and traditional farm life, where walk leads to higher hills and river gorge covered in the dense forest of rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-pines and fir trees with some bamboo thickets which make excellent habitation for rare and elusive Red Panda often seen on walks.
Soon leaving the tree lines into wide exposed areas at Kyanjin above (3,749m) within beautiful Langtang valley, and then heading towards our main adventure for the climb on top Yala Peak, located beyond Kyanjin.
On top of Yala Peak enjoy fantastic views as far to Ganesh Himal (7,405m) with Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Ghengu Liru/Langtang II (6,571m), Kimshun (6,745m), and Shalbachum (6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo, Tilman’s beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and ending towards the eastern horizon with Dorje Lakpa (6,980m).
After a mesmerizing moment feeling in high spirit return journey on the same route allowing you observe more of this beautiful country and then back at Kathmandu after a wonderful overland journey, and ending this awesome and fantastic adventure on Yala Peak Climb.

Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. It’s a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. And as your plane hits the tarmac, our waiting support team will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Welcome drinks will be served and after time in getting refreshed, that evening you will be invited to a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu. You will also receive a trip briefing before retiring for the night at the hotel.

Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath’ and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, you will be introduced to your trip guide and there will be a pre-trip discussion as well as provides opportunity to ask any last-minute questions you may have regarding your trip.

We leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a village which is also the starting point for treks into the Langtang valley. Our journey will be on a winding road through frequent switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. Our trek for today ends with a descent into the small village of Syabrubesi.

After breakfast, we begin our trek to Syabrubesi along the Langtang Khola. We ascend and descend simultaneously through oak and rhododendron forests. After crossing a bridge over the Langtang Khola (small river), we ascend on a steep trail which will lead us to the Lama Hotel.

We continue ascending from Lama Hotel and enjoy the mountain landscape with abundant waterfalls. As we reach the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela, we begin to see the white peaks of the Langtang range. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing a few temporary settlements used by herders. We pass a Buddhist monastery before reaching the Langtang village which was affected by the April 2015 earthquake.

After breakfast, we will start our journey to Kyangjin Gompa, a principal monastery of the region. We pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We also pass by the largest mani wall in Langtang region, made from stone with prayers written on them. After the short trek, we spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Buddhist shrine in Kyangjin Gompa and surrounding areas with the amazing views of the mountains.

Today is a day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the monastery and cheese factory then take a walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4,350m) which is the highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks.

To reach Yala Base Camp, you trek along the rocky glacier trail. You will be quite taken back by the views of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Yala peak and others. For today the accommodation will be in a tented camp and the food will be cooked by our professional camp cook.

Today is our main adventure day. An early start in the morning takes us to climb Yela peak depending on weather conditions. At the summit of Yala peak, you will be stunned by the panoramic views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many Tibetan mountains.

This is the spare day for the climb just in case of the bad weather. Or we can have the rest day at the Kyanjin Gompa or optional side trip around the Langtang Glacier etc.

We begin our trek after breakfast and retrace our steps to Lama Hotel. Most of the trekking today will be downhill as we pass through forests and beautiful Tamang villages. We also get to enjoy different view of the Himalayas that we had missed climbing up.

We basically retrace our steps back to Syabrubesi. The trek will be easier as it will mostly involve descending.

Today, after breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu with the splendid views of hills, mountains, terraces and villages. Remaining time you rest and evening explore Thamel.

This will be a spare day in Kathmandu after the tiring trekking program. We can stroll around the streets in Thamel, a popular Tourist hub in Kathmandu for some souvenir shopping. You may also visit popular tourist attractions nearby. Either way, there will be celebration of an amazing trip, you will be our guests tonight as we host a farewell dinner at an excellent Nepalese restaurant in town.
