Overview

The Langtang Valley, Yala Peak Climbing & Ganja La Pass Trek is a beautiful and adventurous journey that combines peaceful valleys, traditional villages, high mountain scenery, a trekking peak, and one of the wildest Himalayan passes. This 19-day program is carefully designed to allow proper acclimatization, comfort, safety, and time to enjoy nature at a gentle pace.

Your journey begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, the cultural heart of Nepal. Here, you explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites, prepare for the trek, and slowly settle into the Himalayan way of life. After the city experience, you travel north to Syabrubesi, the gateway to Langtang Valley.

The trek takes you through lush forests, flowing rivers, yak pastures, and traditional Tamang villages, slowly gaining altitude as you walk deeper into the mountains. You reach Langtang Village and Kyanjin Gompa, surrounded by towering peaks, glaciers, and wide open landscapes. Extra days are included here for rest and acclimatization, allowing your body to adjust naturally.

A major highlight of the trip is the Yala Peak Climb (5,500m). This non-technical trekking peak is ideal for first-time climbers who want to experience mountaineering in a safe and supportive environment. From the summit, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Langtang II, and surrounding Himalayan giants.

After returning to Kyanjin Gompa, the adventure continues toward the remote and less-traveled Ganja La Pass (5,130m). This section of the trek is wild, quiet, and truly off the beaten path. You camp in high alpine areas, cross snow and ice, and enjoy untouched mountain landscapes. Crossing Ganja La is challenging but deeply rewarding and offers a strong sense of achievement.

Descending from the pass, the trail leads you into the Helambu region, known for its gentle hills, green forests, and beautiful Sherpa villages such as Tarkegyang and Sermanthang. Here, you experience warm local hospitality, ancient monasteries, and a peaceful rural lifestyle.

The trek ends at Melamchi Pul, from where you drive back to Kathmandu. A leisure day in the city allows time to relax, shop, or enjoy final sightseeing before your departure from Nepal.

This trek is perfect for travelers seeking a balanced Himalayan adventure — combining nature, culture, peak climbing, wilderness, and personal challenge — all within a well-paced and thoughtfully planned itinerary.
