Our company was founded by Mr. Thile Lama Sherpa, an experienced trekking professional who has been guiding in the Himalayas since 1996. After many years of working with respected trekking companies, he fulfilled his dream by establishing E.B.C. Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. on 23 May 2017 with one simple goal—to provide honest service, personal care, and unforgettable Himalayan experiences.
Today, we proudly organize trekking holidays, peak climbing adventures, mountaineering expeditions, cultural tours, luxury holidays, helicopter tours, wildlife safaris, pilgrimage tours, and tailor-made travel throughout Nepal. We also organize carefully planned journeys to Tibet, Bhutan, and the Himalayan regions of India, giving travelers the opportunity to experience the unique beauty and cultures of the greater Himalayas.
As a Government of Nepal-authorized adventure travel company, we are fully registered with the relevant government authorities and are proud members of the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) and the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). My name is Thile Lama Sherpa, and I was born and raised in the beautiful Everest region of Solukhumbu, Nepal. Growing up in the Himalayas gave me a deep love for the mountains, nature, and the people who call this region home.
I began my trekking career in 1996 as an Assistant Trekking Guide. After completing my Government-certified Trekking Guide training in 2000, I continued to build my experience through professional training in mountain safety, trekking leadership, tourism, and responsible travel.
For nearly three decades, I have had the privilege of guiding travelers from around the world through the Himalayas. I have led treks in many of Nepal’s most famous mountain regions, including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Kanchenjunga, Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo, Makalu, Rolwaling, and many other remote areas. I have also guided journeys in Ladakh, India, and to the sacred Mt. Kailash in Tibet.
In 2017, I fulfilled my dream by founding E.B.C. Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. My goal has always been simple—to provide safe, well-organized adventures with honest service, personal care, and genuine Nepalese hospitality. Today, I am proud to work with a dedicated team of experienced guides, climbing professionals, porters, and office staff who are committed to making every journey safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
Travel has also given me the opportunity to visit Australia and many countries across Europe and Asia. These experiences have helped me better understand the needs of international travelers while keeping the warmth and personal care of Nepalese hospitality at the heart of every trip.
Beyond tourism, I believe it is important to give back to the communities that have supported me throughout my life. Since 2019, I have been an active member of the Rotary Club of Boudha under Rotary International District 3292 (Nepal & Bhutan), where I have served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. I also had the honor of serving as President of the School Management Committee of Shree Chiwang Basic School in my home village.
In February 2023, I founded SATHI (Sherpa Aid Throughout Himalayas), a non-profit organization that supports education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and community development in remote Himalayan villages. Together with generous friends and supporters, we continue to help improve the lives of local families and create better opportunities for future generations.
For me, guiding is much more than leading people on mountain trails. It is about sharing my home, introducing visitors to our culture, respecting nature, supporting local communities, and creating friendships that last long after the journey ends.
