Mr. Tek Bahadur Thapa, affectionately known as Itey, is a strong, friendly, quiet, and always smiling Assistant Guide at E.B.C. Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. Originally from Solu-Khumbu District in the Everest region of Nepal.
He has been working in the trekking industry for many years and has worked for many trekking agencies. He has good knowledge of many high-altitude trekking routes throughout the Nepal Himalaya. He also has extensive experience in selecting suitable campsites during high-altitude camping treks and helping to organize local lodge/teahouse treks. Whenever the itinerary changes for any reason or extra support is needed, he often walks ahead of the group to prepare the campsite, arrange accommodation, and ensure everything is ready before our guests arrive, helping every trek run smoothly.
He is also always ready to carry extra loads if any porter feels unwell during the trek. His willingness to help and support both the guide and the trekking team is greatly appreciated and helps make the journey more comfortable for everyone.
