The Everest High Pass / Three Pass Trek is one of the most rewarding and adventurous journeys in the Himalayas. Over 23 days, you will explore the heart of the Khumbu region, combining high-altitude trekking, breathtaking mountain landscapes, and rich Sherpa culture, all while crossing three challenging high passes: Kongma La (5,535 m), Cho La (5,330 m), and Renjo La (5,340 m).
Your journey begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital, where you will receive a warm welcome and a detailed briefing about your trek. You will have time to explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, gaining a deeper understanding of Nepal’s rich history, spiritual traditions, and colorful city life.
Next, you will take an exhilarating flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest, and begin your trek through beautiful forests, river valleys, and traditional Sherpa villages. The trail leads you through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche / Deboche, Dingboche, Chhukung, Lobuche, and Gorak Shep, where each village offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks, charming monasteries, and warm local hospitality.
A major highlight of the journey is reaching the legendary Everest Base Camp and ascending Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for sunrise, where you will witness the world’s highest mountains in all their glory, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. After landing at the legendary Tenzing-Hillary Airport, meet your experienced trekking guide and porter team before organizing your luggage and making the final preparations for your trek. Your trek begins with a gentle descent through the traditional Sherpa village of Lukla before following a well-maintained trail that winds through charming mountain settlements. Passing through charming Sherpa villages including Benkar, Monjo, and Jorsale, you’ll enter Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where your trekking permits will be checked before continuing into the protected Himalayan wilderness.
Beyond Jorsale, the trail crosses the famous Larja Suspension Bridge before beginning a steady ascent through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests.

After breakfast, begin a steady uphill walk toward Syangboche Airstrip, one of the highest airstrips in the world, before continuing to the renowned Hotel Everest View (3,880 m / 12,730 ft). Weather permitting, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde Ri, and many surrounding Himalayan peaks.
The hike may continue to the traditional Sherpa village of Khumjung, home to the historic Edmund Hillary School, established in 1961, and the famous Khumjung Monastery, renowned for displaying the legendary Yeti scalp.
