The road follows the wide and dramatic Kali Gandaki Valley, surrounded by rocky cliffs and impressive Himalayan scenery. Along the way, you can enjoy views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, and the Annapurna range.
Kagbeni is dramatically situated above the meeting point of the Kali Gandaki and Jhong Khola rivers. This ancient village marks the northern edge of Lower Mustang and is the traditional gateway to Upper Mustang. Surrounded by dry, rocky mountains and green cultivated fields, Kagbeni offers a fascinating introduction to the landscapes and culture ahead.
In the afternoon, there will be time to explore the old village. Walk through its narrow alleyways, traditional houses, irrigation canals, and barley fields, and visit the historic red-brick monastery. You can also see the remains of the ancient King’s Palace, reflecting Kagbeni’s long and fascinating history.

After breakfast, we officially enter the restricted area of Upper Mustang, marking an exciting cultural and geographical change in the journey. The trail follows mostly rough mountain tracks and gradually climbs to a ridge offering beautiful views back toward the green fields of Kagbeni and down the valley toward Nilgiri.
We continue along the eastern side of the Kali Gandaki River, climbing onto a high plateau above the riverbed. The wide, open landscape and dramatic mountain scenery make today’s walk especially enjoyable. The trail then descends to a stream before a short climb brings us to Tangbe Village (3,030 m).
Tangbe is a charming traditional settlement with narrow alleyways, whitewashed houses, apple orchards, and fields of buckwheat, barley, and wheat. After leaving the village, the trail continues through gentle ups and downs before reaching Chuksang (2,950 m).
Chuksang is known for its old Dzong (fortress) and ancient caves carved into the dramatic cliffs across the Kali Gandaki River. After lunch at a local teahouse, we continue through the dry and rugged valley.
We cross a small stream and later cross the Kali Gandaki River on a narrow bridge below a naturally formed rock tunnel. From the river, a short but steep climb brings us to Tsaile, a peaceful village surrounded by wheat and barley fields, orchards, and traditional houses.
From Tsaile onward, the influence of Tibetan culture becomes increasingly visible. You may notice sheep horns decorating house walls and traditional protective symbols known as Zor, believed to protect homes from negative spirits. These small cultural details offer a fascinating glimpse into the ancient traditions of Upper Mustang.

After breakfast, we begin with a steady climb toward Nyi La Pass (4,000 m), one of the higher points along today’s trail. The ascent is rewarding, with wide views across the dry valleys, colorful cliffs, and rugged landscapes of Upper Mustang. From the pass, we descend and continue toward Ghemi (3,570 m).
As we approach Ghemi, the dramatic red, ochre, and silvery cliffs become a beautiful feature of the landscape. Ghemi is one of the larger villages in Mustang, with narrow lanes and high-walled traditional houses that give it a distinctive fortified appearance.
After lunch in Ghemi, we cross a small bridge and climb toward a ridgeline. From here, the trail opens to impressive views of the colorful cliffs and ancient chortens scattered across the valley. We also pass the famous Mani Wall, one of the longest in Nepal, accompanied by a remarkable group of large ancient chortens beneath the sculpted cliffs.
Continuing toward Dhakmar, the landscape becomes even more dramatic. The village is surrounded by striking red cliffs, creating one of the most memorable scenes of the Upper Mustang Trek. According to local Buddhist tradition, these red cliffs are connected with the legendary story of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) and his battle against demons.
This sacred valley is closely linked with the history and spiritual traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. The nearby Lo Gekar Monastery, which we will visit tomorrow, is also associated with this ancient Buddhist heritage.
We finish the day with a beautiful walk into Dhakmar, where traditional flat-roofed houses sit beneath the impressive red cliffs. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spectacular mountain scenery before settling into your local teahouse for the night.

We descend briefly and then climb again through open highland meadows, following a rocky stream toward Mui La. From here, the trail descends toward Lo Gekar (Ghar Gompa), one of the most important and sacred Buddhist sites in Mustang. The peaceful surroundings and ancient monastery provide a wonderful place to stop for lunch and experience the spiritual heritage of the region.
After lunch, we descend toward the Tsarang Khola before beginning a steady climb along a rocky trail. The route continues through a broad grassy valley and gradually reaches Chogo La (4,325 m), the highest point of today’s trek. From the pass, enjoy magnificent views across the wide and remote mountain landscape.
We then descend through an open valley and follow quiet herders’ trails toward a smaller pass at around 4,000 m. From the top, we catch our first breathtaking view of Lo Manthang, the legendary walled city lying below on the vast Plain of Aspiration.
A gentle descent brings us across the plain and into Lo Manthang, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Lo. Surrounded by historic walls, traditional houses, ancient monasteries, and dramatic mountain landscapes, Lo Manthang is one of the most fascinating destinations in Nepal.
After settling into a family-run local teahouse, enjoy some time to explore the old city and its peaceful surroundings. As evening arrives, watch local families bring their sheep, cattle, and horses inside the city walls, adding to the timeless atmosphere of this remarkable Himalayan settlement.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today is dedicated to exploring the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang and the fascinating cultural heritage surrounding it. The morning is an ideal time to visit the historic monasteries inside the city, when the soft morning light makes the ancient murals, paintings, and religious artwork easier to appreciate.
Please carry a torch (flashlight) when visiting the monasteries, as their interiors can be quite dark even during the morning. Photography inside the monasteries is generally not permitted unless permission has been given.
After exploring the old city, you may visit several interesting places, including a traditional Amchi clinic, where Tibetan herbal medicine is practiced, local schools, historic monasteries, small cafés, and traditional shops selling local handicrafts and souvenirs.
In the afternoon, take a rewarding excursion to Namgyal Gompa, also known as the Monastery of Victory. Perched dramatically on a barren ridge northwest of Lo Manthang, it is one of the important and active monasteries in the area. From the monastery, enjoy beautiful views across the surrounding dry valleys and traditional settlements.
The trail then descends to a small stream before climbing through irrigated fields toward Thinggar Valley. This peaceful valley is home to the former King’s Summer Palace, along with ancient ruins, monasteries, and old fortifications that reflect the fascinating history of the Kingdom of Lo.
The walk to Thinggar involves some additional uphill and downhill sections and can be more demanding than exploring Lo Manthang itself. An early start is recommended for those choosing this excursion.
After a rewarding day of cultural discovery and mountain scenery, return to Lo Manthang and enjoy another peaceful evening inside the ancient city walls.
Accommodation: Local Teahouse/Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today, we leave Lo Manthang for a fascinating journey into the Chhosar Valley, following a wide trail through dry gullies, open landscapes, and the remains of ancient settlements. Along the way, look back toward the valley for beautiful views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Ahead, rugged hills rise toward the Tibetan border, while green fields and meadows add a touch of color to the otherwise dry landscape.
After around 1.5 hours of walking, we reach the ancient village of Chhosar, home to the remarkable Gharphu Gompa. Built dramatically into a towering rock face, this deep-red monastery is also an important learning center for young monks. A visit here offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the living Buddhist traditions of Upper Mustang.
Beyond the monastery lies the fascinating Jhong Cave, an ancient cave settlement believed to be more than 2,500 years old. The complex contains interconnected rooms, tunnels, ladders, and chambers carved into the cliff, providing a remarkable glimpse into the lives of people who once lived in these high mountain caves.
Keep an eye on the surrounding cliffs, as blue sheep can sometimes be seen in this area. Their presence adds another special element to this remote Himalayan landscape.
After exploring the caves, we return toward Lo Manthang following the valley downstream. On clear days, the return journey offers beautiful views toward Annapurna, Tilicho Peak, and Nilgiri. Arriving back in Lo Manthang, enjoy a relaxing evening and reflect on another memorable day exploring the hidden history and culture of Upper Mustang.

After breakfast, we leave the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang and begin a gradual climb into a beautiful glacial valley. As we gain altitude, enjoy wonderful views back toward the historic red-brown walls of Lo Manthang, creating some of the most memorable views of the trek.
The trail continues along a mountain ridge for about an hour before descending toward Dhi Village, a small settlement surrounded by a wide and peaceful landscape. After a lunch break in Dhi, we continue our journey toward Yara.
From Dhi, we cross a river and follow a scenic trail deeper into the remote valley. The landscape becomes increasingly rugged, with dramatic eroded cliffs, dry hills, and high-altitude terrain surrounding the trail.
We eventually reach Yara, a quiet and isolated settlement that offers a wonderful glimpse into traditional mountain life along the ancient Mustang trade routes. Far from the busier trekking trails, Yara provides a peaceful place to enjoy the natural beauty and timeless atmosphere of Upper Mustang.

After crossing the glacier, the trail continues upward along the right side of the moraine. As we climb higher, the surrounding mountains become wider and more impressive, with beautiful views of Damodar Himal and **Khumjungar Himal.

An early start brings you to Pokhara Airport for a spectacular mountain flight to Jomsom (2,720 m / 8,924 ft), the administrative center of Mustang. On a clear morning, the short flight offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges before landing in the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley.
After landing, you will experience the unique atmosphere of Jomsom, where traditional mountain life can be seen along the streets. You may see Mustangi people, horses, and mule caravans moving through the town. After organizing your luggage and meeting the trekking crew, we prepare for the next part of the journey.
Depending on the flight arrival time, lunch may be enjoyed in Jomsom before continuing by vehicle toward Kagbeni.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, we begin the day with a steady climb from Tsaile, ascending through the dry and dramatic landscapes of Upper Mustang. The trail crosses several small mountain passes, including Taklam La (3,624 m) and Dajori La (3,735 m), offering beautiful views of the rugged valleys, cliffs, and distant Himalayan peaks.
We continue toward Samar, a charming village surrounded by dry hills, green fields, and traditional Tibetan-style houses. Along the way, the trail passes small streams and several gentle rises and descents, giving us different views of the fascinating Mustang landscape.
From Samar, we continue toward Rachung Cave, situated beside the Syangboche Khola. This sacred cave is an important spiritual site in Mustang and was later developed into a monastery. Inside, you can see ancient Buddhist paintings and sacred artwork, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s long religious history.
After spending some peaceful time exploring Rachung Cave, we continue along the Syangboche Khola. The trail gradually descends through the quiet valley before reaching Syangboche, where we settle into a local teahouse and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the peaceful mountain landscape.

Accommodation: Local Teahouse/Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, we continue our journey through the dramatic landscapes of Upper Mustang, following the valley toward the ancient capital of Lo Manthang. The trail climbs through a narrow, tunnel-like passage before reaching a ridge with beautiful views back across the Dhakmar Valley.

Accommodation: Local Teahouse/Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today marks an important new stage of our Upper Mustang to Nar Phu Valley via Saribung Peak & Pass adventure. After exploring the ancient villages, monasteries, and landscapes of Upper Mustang, we now begin the more remote Saribung Peak, Saribung Pass, and Nar Phu Valley section of our journey. Today is also our first camping day, as we leave the Local Teahouse/Lodge accommodation behind and begin staying in tents in the remote mountain areas ahead.
Today is a short and gentle trekking day as we walk toward the beautiful and peaceful Luri Cave Monastery. We follow a quiet mountain trail beside the stream for about two hours before reaching this special place.
Luri is home to two ancient monasteries. We first visit the lower monastery and then continue uphill to the main Luri Cave Monastery, which is built into the rocky cliffs. These sacred places are believed to date back to around the 15th century and are closely connected with the Buddhist culture of the region.
We take time to explore the monasteries, enjoy the quiet surroundings, and learn about the history and spiritual life of this remote part of Mustang. The peaceful mountain setting makes this a lovely place to slow down, look around, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
After our visit, we return to our campsite and settle into our first night of camping. Our camping team will prepare a warm meal and make sure everything is comfortable for the night. From tomorrow, the trail will gradually take us higher into the remote mountain landscape as we move closer to Saribung Base Camp and Saribung Peak.

During today’s trek, we also see many fascinating ancient caves built into steep and vertical cliffs. Looking at these caves high above the valley, it is amazing to imagine how people lived in such difficult places many centuries ago.
After a long and beautiful day in the high mountains, we reach Ghuma Thanti, where our camp will be set up. This quiet mountain setting gives us a wonderful opportunity to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Today we continue deeper into the high mountains as we make our way toward Saribung Base Camp. The landscape becomes more rugged and remote, with steeper trails, rocky ground, and high mountain surroundings.
As we climb higher, we may begin to see more snow and icy sections along the trail. We walk carefully and steadily, giving our bodies time to adjust to the increasing altitude.
With patience, teamwork, and the support of our experienced mountain team, we gradually reach Saribung Base Camp. Surrounded by wide open valleys, high peaks, and the quiet beauty of the Himalayas, this is a true high-altitude wilderness.
Reaching base camp is an important moment in our journey. Here, we rest and prepare for the exciting climb toward Saribung Peak in the days ahead.

This light activity helps with acclimatization while giving you a chance to enjoy the beautiful mountain surroundings.
Alternatively, you can stay at base camp, relax, and give your body a full rest. Our climbing team will also check the weather, route, and climbing equipment and make sure everything is ready for the days ahead.

Today is the most exciting and important day of our journey — the day we climb to the summit of Saribung Peak (6,346 m / 20,820 ft), the highest point of the entire trek.
We start very early in the morning while the mountain is quiet. With our climbing Sherpa and team, we begin the careful ascent toward the summit. The climb takes us across steep and high mountain terrain, where every step requires patience, focus, and steady effort.
As we climb higher, the views become wider and more beautiful. From the summit, we can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Gyajikang, Himlung, and Bhrikuti. Standing at the top of Saribung is a special moment — a feeling of achievement, freedom, and being truly close to the high Himalayas.
After spending some time at the summit and celebrating this wonderful achievement, we begin our careful descent. We retrace our route back to Saribung Base Camp, where we can rest, enjoy a warm meal, and reflect on this unforgettable day in the mountains.

Today we leave Saribung Base Camp and continue toward Saribung High Camp. The trail begins along the left side of the glacier moraine as we move deeper into the high mountain landscape.
The terrain becomes more challenging as we walk across snowy and icy sections. The snow can make the trail slippery and slow, so we take careful and steady steps. At one point, we cross a snowy glacier section horizontally to reach the other side of the moraine.
After crossing the glacier, the trail continues upward along the right side of the moraine. As we climb higher, the surrounding mountains become wider and more impressive, with beautiful views of Damodar Himal and **Khumjungar Himal.
Finally, we reach Saribung High Camp (5,720 m / 18,766 ft). This is a quiet and remote place high in the Himalayas. We settle into camp, have an early meal, and rest well to save our energy for the important Saribung Pass crossing tomorrow.

We start early in the morning and begin our careful climb from High Camp. The trail takes us through snowy and icy mountain terrain, with some steep sections along the way. The higher we climb, the thinner the air becomes, so we walk slowly and steadily, following the guidance of our experienced climbing team.
After a challenging ascent, we reach the top of Saribung Pass. From here, we can enjoy wide and beautiful views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains. Standing at this remote high point gives us a wonderful feeling of achievement and reminds us how far we have come.
After spending some time at the pass, we begin our descent. The trail leads down through rocky and glacial moraine terrain as the landscape slowly changes. We continue carefully toward Nagoru (4,400 m / 14,435 ft), where our camp will be prepared for the night.

The trail takes us through a series of gentle ascents and descents as we gradually move away from the high Himalayan terrain. With every step, the landscape becomes warmer and more welcoming, and we slowly make our way toward Phu Gaon, one of the most remote and beautiful villages in the valley.
Phu Gaon is known for its traditional culture and simple way of life, which has been preserved for generations. The stone houses, narrow paths, prayer flags, and surrounding mountains give the village a peaceful and special feeling.
We also visit Tashi Lhakhang Monastery, an important Buddhist monastery in the region and one of the monasteries traditionally included among the 108 Greatest Monasteries of the World.
After exploring the village and monastery, we enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people and settle in for a peaceful night in Phu Gaon.

The Saribung Peak summit and Saribung Pass crossing are not guaranteed. Reaching the summit or crossing the pass depends on weather, snow and ice conditions, trail conditions, your health and fitness, acclimatization, and the professional assessment of our climbing team. Safety always comes first.
Be ready for early starts: Some trekking days, especially the Saribung Pass crossing and Saribung Peak summit day, may require an early morning or pre-dawn start. Please be prepared to wake up early, have breakfast, pack your day bag, and begin walking as scheduled.
Pack for both trekking and climbing: You will experience very different environments, from the dry landscapes of Upper Mustang to cold, high-altitude mountain terrain. Pack carefully and avoid unnecessary items.
Adventure Travel: Every effort will be made to follow the itinerary as planned, but this is an adventure journey in a remote and high-altitude mountain region. Weather, trail and mountain conditions, domestic flight delays, local circumstances, and the health or pace of group members may sometimes require changes to the itinerary. Our team will always do its best to operate the trip safely and smoothly, but a flexible and easy-going attitude is an important part of the adventure.
1. What is the Upper Mustang to Nar Phu Valley via Saribung Peak & Pass trek?
This is a challenging and adventurous Himalayan journey combining the remote landscapes of Upper Mustang with the hidden Nar Phu Valley. The route takes you through ancient Tibetan-influenced villages, monasteries, caves, high mountain valleys, remote camping areas, Saribung Peak (6,346 m / 20,820 ft), and the spectacular Saribung Pass before descending into Nar Phu Valley.
2. How many days does the trek take?
Our complete itinerary is 26 nights / 27 days, including international arrival and final departure from Nepal. The program includes time in Kathmandu and Pokhara, trekking through Upper Mustang, acclimatization, camping and climbing days, the Saribung Peak summit, crossing Saribung Pass, exploring Nar Phu Valley, and returning to Kathmandu.
3. How difficult is the Saribung Peak & Pass trek?
This is a challenging high-altitude trek and peak-climbing adventure. It involves long walking days, remote trails, several high-altitude camps, glacier and snow conditions, the Saribung Peak summit at 6,346 m, and the crossing of Saribung Pass. Good physical fitness, stamina, proper preparation, and a positive attitude are essential.
4. Do I need previous trekking or climbing experience?
Previous high-altitude trekking experience is strongly recommended. Basic mountaineering experience is also helpful because the journey includes a high-altitude peak and pass. Travelers should be comfortable walking for several hours a day and camping in remote mountain environments.
5. Do I need technical climbing skills for Saribung Peak?
Saribung Peak is not considered an extremely technical Himalayan peak, but the summit involves high-altitude climbing, snow and possible glacier conditions. Depending on conditions, climbing equipment such as crampons, harnesses, ropes, and an ice axe may be required. Our experienced climbing Sherpa will provide guidance and support throughout the climbing section.
6. What is the highest point of the journey?
The highest point is Saribung Peak at 6,346 m / 20,820 ft. The route also crosses Saribung Pass at a very high altitude, making proper acclimatization especially important before the summit and pass-crossing days.
7. Is acclimatization included in the itinerary?
Yes. The itinerary includes an acclimatization day at Saribung Base Camp before the climbing section. The overall itinerary also allows the body to gradually adjust to increasing altitude. Our guide and climbing Sherpa monitor the group carefully and adjust the pace when necessary.
8. What permits are required for this trek?
Several permits are required because the route passes through restricted and conservation areas. These include the Upper Mustang Restricted Area Special Permit, Nar Phu Restricted Area Permit, Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), and the required climbing permit for Saribung Peak, along with applicable fees and deposits. Our company arranges the necessary permits before and during the journey.
9. Can I do this trek independently without a guide?
No. This route passes through Restricted Areas, where government regulations require trekkers to travel through a registered trekking agency with a government-licensed guide and the appropriate permits. The remote climbing section also requires experienced support for safety and logistics.
10. Can a solo traveler join this expedition?
The restricted-area sections have minimum-group requirements, so a solo traveler cannot simply enter these areas independently. If you are traveling alone, contact us in advance and we can explain the available arrangements for joining or organizing a suitable private departure.
11. What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in tourist-standard hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Local Teahouse/Lodges during the non-camping trekking sections, and fully supported tented camps during the remote and climbing sections. Camping includes sleeping tents, dining facilities, kitchen support, and toilet facilities.
12. How many people sleep in each camping tent?
Normally, we provide two-person tents with sleeping mats. Single tents can be arranged where required, subject to availability and additional cost.
13. What is included in the camping arrangement?
Our camping arrangement includes two-man tents, sleeping mats, dining tents with tables and chairs, kitchen tents, cooking equipment, toilet and shower tents, cooking fuel, and camping charges. A dedicated camping team supports the group throughout the remote sections.
14. Who prepares the meals during the camping section?
An experienced Sherpa cook and kitchen team prepare the meals during the camping and climbing sections. Full-board meals are provided, together with boiled drinking water. The team carries the necessary food, cooking equipment, and camping supplies into the remote areas.
15. What kind of food is available during the trek?
During the Local Teahouse/Lodge sections, meals generally include Nepali, Tibetan, Asian, and simple Western dishes. During camping, our Sherpa cook prepares fresh and nutritious meals suitable for high-altitude trekking and climbing. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hot drinks are provided according to the camping plan.
16. How much luggage can I take, and who carries it?
Porters carry your main trekking luggage, while pack animals may be used in remote sections to transport food, camping equipment, and supplies. You should carry only a small daypack with items needed during the day. We recommend keeping your personal luggage as light as possible.
17. What climbing equipment do I need to bring?
Depending on the climbing conditions, essential equipment may include mountaineering boots, crampons, harness, ice axe, helmet, carabiners, climbing clothing, gloves, and suitable high-altitude clothing. Some climbing equipment may be provided or arranged by the company. A detailed equipment list should be confirmed before departure.
18. What should I pack for this expedition?
You need warm and layered clothing, waterproof and windproof outerwear, good trekking boots, suitable high-altitude clothing, gloves, warm hat, sunglasses or glacier glasses, sunscreen, water bottles, personal medicines, headlamp, sleeping bag, and essential personal items. We provide a detailed packing list before your trip.
19. Is travel insurance necessary?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is essential for this expedition. Your policy should cover high-altitude trekking and climbing, medical treatment, emergency helicopter evacuation, search and rescue, trip interruption, and cancellation. Make sure your insurance specifically covers activities at elevations above 6,000 m.
20. What happens if someone becomes sick at high altitude?
Your safety is our priority. Our guide and climbing Sherpa monitor your health throughout the journey. If someone develops symptoms of altitude sickness or another serious problem, the group may stop ascending, descend to a safer altitude, or arrange emergency evacuation when necessary. The itinerary also includes a reserve day for additional flexibility.
21. What is the best season for this trek?
The best seasons are generally spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These periods normally provide better visibility and more stable conditions. Upper Mustang is also relatively dry during the monsoon, but the high-altitude climbing section can have very different conditions, so the overall expedition must be planned carefully.
22. How cold can it get during the climbing and camping sections?
Temperatures can become very cold at high altitude, especially at night and around Camp I, Saribung Base Camp, and during the summit and pass-crossing sections. Freezing temperatures, strong winds, snow, and changing weather are possible. Proper four-season sleeping bags, warm clothing, and suitable mountaineering equipment are essential.
23. Is there mobile phone and internet coverage throughout the trek?
No. Mobile phone and internet coverage are available in some villages, but signals may be weak or completely unavailable in remote Upper Mustang, Saribung, and Nar Phu sections. Wi-Fi may be available at some Local Teahouse/Lodges, usually for an additional charge. During camping, communication facilities can be very limited.
24. Can I charge my phone and camera batteries?
Charging facilities are available in some Local Teahouse/Lodges, usually for an additional fee. During remote camping sections, electricity may not be available. We strongly recommend carrying power banks, spare batteries, or a suitable solar charging system for cameras, phones, and other electronic devices.
25. What happens if the weather is bad during the summit or Saribung Pass crossing?
Safety always comes first. The summit and pass-crossing schedule depends on weather, snow conditions, visibility, wind, and the physical condition of the group. If conditions are unsafe, our climbing team may delay the attempt, use the reserve day, or modify the route when necessary. A successful expedition depends on making safe decisions rather than rushing to the summit.
26. Can this expedition be customized or extended?
Yes. The itinerary can be adjusted for private groups, additional acclimatization days, extra rest days, or other trekking preferences, depending on permits, weather, available time, and route conditions. Travelers who want to spend more time exploring Upper Mustang, Nar Phu, or other Himalayan regions can discuss their plans with us before the trip.
27. Why choose us for the Saribung Peak & Pass adventure?
We provide a carefully organized Himalayan expedition with experienced local guides, climbing Sherpa, cooks, porters, and camping staff. From permits and route planning to meals, accommodation, camping, acclimatization, and safety support, our team takes care of the essential details throughout the journey. With strong local knowledge and personal attention, you can enjoy the remarkable landscapes and cultures of Upper Mustang, Saribung Peak & Pass, and Nar Phu Valley with confidence.
